So Many Changes!
We just got our ABC license and we are so excited! Beginning Weds., we will have beer (on and off) and wine (off only) available for our customers! We'll have everyone's favorite brands plus some hard to find ones as well. As for wine, we are selling local brands as we really try to support the local community!
Starting April 10, we will begin selling fresh baked bread by Montana Gold located in Richmond, Va. This bread is wonderful and you'll have a chance to sample it at our Grand Opening on Sunday, April 13th. Also, at that time, our Produce Stand will open -- how exciting!
We got the Va. Lottery last Friday and we've already had several winners for the scratch-offs!o

New Additions!
This week has brought about many changes! We've added several new items to our menu, got more merchandise in and now have the Virginia Lottery! We also got our new awning installed which looks great!

Our new awning gets installed today, we are so excited! Now the outside will look as nice as the inside! The response to the inside and the improvements we've made has been overwhelming.
Our Orange Cake from Laura's Confections has really taken off. We've seen customers who have ordered a slice come back and buy an entire cake! Laura's Confections is owned by a friend of ours in Richmond, Va and she bakes for country clubs and restaurants in Richmond. Of course, we have her cakes exclusively in the Fredericksburg area! We'll begin bringing in her pies (all made by scratch of course) in the next several weeks.

It is wonderful seeing repeat customers already -- some making their 3rd or 4th visit back to Capt. Jack's after being open only two weeks! We are trying to learn everyone's names but it's hard sometimes.
This weekend we have oysters in the shell and the pint along with our famous red crab soup now available in quarts!
We just got in a new shipment of gift merchandise including lobster pitchers, platters and plates. These items are great for entertaining and are attractively priced!
We also got in a large selection of fun, colorful jewelry including bracelets, earrings and necklaces -- all starting at only $2.99 each!

International Seafood Show
It has been great meeting our new neighbors at Indian Acres and they seem so thrilled that we are now located directly across the street!
Oysters (in the shell and pint) have been a big hit and we are almost sold out of them for the weekend!
Allie left this morning at 5 AM for Boston to attend the International Seafood Show and will be bringing back all kinds of information on new products.
The Shad are running and we'll have Shad Roe next week. We also have special orders for Squid and Rock Fish. Remember, if it is caught -- we can get it!
The German Chocolate Cake from Laura's Confections was a big hit this weekend and we are almost out!

Our Second Week!
It's hard to believe we've only been open a week, as of yesterday! The response from the local community has been so positive!
We've got oysters in the shell AND pint right now and crabs. The crabs are being brought up from the Gulf and they are large.
We got in more gift merchandise today --- wooden serving trays with matching spreaders (fish or starfish), linen towel and guest soap sets, linen wine bottle bags, linen coasters & wine bottle stoppers (fish and starfish). These make excellent hostess gifts or decor for your home. Come check them out!

Our First Week Open
Our first week open was wonderful! We sold out of crabs and oysters in the shell. No worries, we'll bring in more of both on Wednesday to meet the demand.

Crabs Are Looking So Good!
The crabs we have in right now from South Carolina are looking great! They are heavy and large, what a nice treat for the middle of February.
It was so nice to hear all the great comments from our customers yesterday saying how they are so happy that we are closer to them at our new location and that our place is just what the area needed. Also, we love hearing all the comments about how great the place looks.
